Pennsylvania Grand Champions

The first year the Pennsylvania Grand was over the Labor Day weekend of 1973. (Sept. 1, 2 , 3, 1973). Three automobiles were awarded in the Handicap Championship and 40 traps were used for the event. The program and location was similar in 1974 (Aug. 31, Sept. 1, 2, 1974), but that changed to the awarding of guns in 1975. From 1975 to present, the tournament has been held on the PSSA grounds at the Orville Eberly building. The tournament was held over 44 traps in 1975 and was cut short that same year because of a heavy all day rain forcing the cancellation of the Singles Championship. Since then the PSSA has awarded money, trophies, etc. until the current day. The tournament was changed to the 4th of July week in 1976. It has been held on those same dates since than.
