New
Yorkers Win All Major
2002 PA Grand Titles.

Urban Womer
(NY) perfect in Doubles, Robert Edwards (NY) perfect in singles.
Joe Forma (NY) breaks 98 for handicap crown. Perfect weather
prevails but Canadian fires produced thick haze on weekend.
The
weather man finally cooperated for a PSSA event for 2002. Perfect
weather prevailed for the 30th annual PA Grand at Elysburg.
However, the Canadians did not help the cause. Large Canadian
fires made shooting miserable for Sunday's handicap, and
Saturday's singles, making targets very difficult to see as the
haze enveloped the PSSA homegrounds. Lucky Nightingale
smashed 200 to finish second in the singles championship race (the former ATA
president won two events) as Bob Edwards of Monticello, NY won the
title. There were six 200's in the Canadian haze. Former state
resident Kelly Doll (VA) also broke 200 to win the ladies title.
Urban Womer's 100 won the doubles with Stephen "Doc"
Ollock right behind him with a 99. Joe Forma broke a 98 to win the
Handicap title. Other 98's included Dick Nagy and Joey
Troutman.
