crown with 200 straight. Kay Ohye sweeps the HAA and HOA awards. F. T.
McCullough wins three handicap awards. Cory Natcher takes home six
awards.
Hot and humid weather prevailed
throughout the three day tournament as
886 shooters from 16 states faced the Elysburg traps in the 31st
Pennsylvania Grand, setting a tournament record of 401,100 targets for a
three day event. Ray Brightbill of Lebanon, PA won the PA Grand
Handicap title by two targets with a 99x100. It was the father
-son show in the Doubles Championship when Alex Etchen broke a 99
to win the event while father Joel Etchen was a close second with
98. Frank Pascoe of New Castle won the AA award with 200 while PA
State Champion Norman Beaver was AA runner-up, also with 200. Richard
Smith, the 2002 NY State Singles Champion won the Vet crown with
200. Kay Ohye of N Brunswick, NJ took both the HAA (393) and the
HOA (783) awards. Vendel finished one target behind for the HAA while
daughter Debbie Ohye was second in the HOA, 5 targets behind
father Kay.
