| The 2003 ATA All American
Teams have been announced and the Keystone State has nine gunners who
earned their way on to the team. Ken Darroch was selected to the
men's team for the 8th time while Steve Huber of Bethel was
selected for the first time. Stephanie Sandler and Kim Bateman
were selected to the women's team. Stephanie was a sub-junior All
American last year. Bateman was selected for the first time. New
Castle's Joe Pascoe became the 16th Pennsylvania team Captain
when he was named Captain of the 2003 Junior Team. This marks the 5th
year in a row that Pascoe has been named to the Junior Team. Rounding
out the Junior selections are Charlie Berkhous, also his 5th All
American selection, once as a Sub-Junior and 4 times on the Junior Team
and Brendan Sandler, his third selection, once as a Sub-Junior. Joshua
Richmond and Billy Woodford earned their way to the
Sub-Junior Team, their first selections. The last time Pennsylvania had
9 selections was in 1997. The record number of selections is 12, back in
1974.
