The 32nd annual Pennsylvania
All State Teams have been announced by the PSSA. First started in 1972,
the teams have been selected every year since that time. The men's team
is once
again captained by All American Ken Darroch. This is a record 7th
time as captain. He has been selected to 11 men's teams and one junior
team. Ken also led the state in 2002 doubles averages. Stephen Ollock
was selected to the men's first team for the 12th time. Glenn Lash
made his 8th team while leading the state in handicap averages. Steve
Huber, lead the state singles shooters made the team for the 8th
time.
Leading the women was Sonya Miller,
selected to her 18th team.
She led the state in singles averages for the 17th time. Anna Mae
Eberle, the 2002 women's state singles champion, made her record
29th team. Kim Bateman of Slippery Rock made the women's team for
the second time and had the high state women's handicap average while
state doubles leader Linda Straub made the team for the 7th time.
Joe Alsippi was selected captain
of the Vet team while Donald Schmoyer was named captain of the
Senior Vet Team. Junior All American Joe Pascoe was named captain of the
junior team, his 6th team selection. 2003
