The 35th annual Pennsylvania
All State Teams have been announced by the PSSA. First started in 1972,
the teams have been selected every year since that time. The men's team
is captained by Stephen "Doc" Ollock. This is his
fourth time as captain and his second year in a row. Ollock was also
captain in 2001 and 1997. "Doc" has been selected to 15 men's teams.
He also led the state in 2005 singles averages. Emerson Bornman,
selected to the second team, leads team members with 17 selections, his
first back in 1988.
Leading the women was
junior sharp shooter 2006 All American Stephanie Sandler,
selected to her 6th team, her second time as captain.
She also led the state ladies in singles and doubles averages. Sonya Miller was
selected for the 22nd time, second to Anna Mae Eberle's
34 selections. Jean Mariano was selected to her 21st
team.
John Allem was selected captain
of the Vet team for the first time while Joe Alsippi was named captain of the
Senior Vet Team. Alsippi was Vet captain back in 2003. Allem and Alsippi
has been on 8 all state teams.
Daniel Delong was named captain of the
junior team, his 3nd team selection and second as captain.

Actually, your not selected. You earn your way on the team which is
determined by the highest composite averages in each of 5 team categories,
including men's, women's, vets, senior vets, and junior/sub-juniors. Requirements
