The 37th annual Pennsylvania
All State Trapshooting Teams have been announced by the PSSA. First started in 1972,
the teams have been selected every year since then. The men's team
is captained for the second straight year by Steve Huber. This is Steve's
third time as captain and his 13th overall selection, all first team
selections. Huber was also
captain in 2004. Frank Pascoe finished second in the composite averages and
was selected to his 11th All State Team. Franks son Joe Pascoe
was also named to the first team. Pascoe was named Pennsylvania ATA
delegate this past June. Emerson Bornman,
selected to the second team, leads team members with 19 selections, his
first back in 1988. No other male in state history has as many all state
selections.
Leading the women was Stephanie Sandler,
selected to her 8th team, her fourth time as captain.
She also led the state ladies in doubles, singles and handicap averages
in 2007. Lisa Long of West Grove finished second in
composite averages, earning her 15th All State selection. Sonya Miller,
a second team selection, was
selected for the 24th time, second to Anna Mae Eberle's
35 selections. Jean Mariano was selected to her 23rd
team.
John Allem was selected captain
of the Vet team for the second time. He was also Vet captain back
in 2006 and has 10 all state selections including 6 men's selections. Carl
Hardick was named captain of the Senior Vet Team for the first time
and has six all state team selections, four vet team and now 2 senior
vet teams. Kory
Shissler was named captain of the
junior team, his fourth team selection and second as captain.

Actually, your not selected. You earn your way on the team which is
determined by the highest composite averages in each of 5 team categories,
including men's, women's, vets, senior vets, and junior/sub-juniors. Requirements
