Zone Changes- Currently East/West.

Proposed change: Divide state into 4 Zones;

Northwest Zone...... Erie, Warren, McKean, Potter, Clinton, Cameron, Elk, Forest, Venango, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Armstrong, Jefferson, Clearfield and Centre (18 counties) Potential sites (Bradford).

Southwest Zone...... Beaver, Alleghany, Washington, Greene, Fayette, Westmoreland, Indiana, Somerset, Cambria, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon and Fulton (13 counties) Potential sites (Fayette, West Penn, Clairton and Ruffsdale).

Northeast Zone...... Tioga, Bradford, Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Sullivan, Lycoming, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia, Luzerne, Schuylkill, Carbon and Monroe (18 counties). Potential sites (Valley G&C).

Southeast Zone..... Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, Franklin, Adams, York, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Lehigh, Bucks and Northampton (18 counties) Potential sites (South End).

Shoot Dates:

East-West May 8 & 9, 2010 for 2010 target year (remains same as current structure).

September 25 and 26, 2010, for 2011 target year, changing to four zone structure.

(a) After 2011, the zone shoots will be held the fourth Saturday and Sunday of September or as determined by the Executive Committee of the PSSA.

(b) Host club must have a minimum of 8 program traps to be eligible for consideration. If zone has more than one potential site, the following year's site will be chosen by vote at annual zone meeting.

(c) Respective zone is closed to all ATA shoots on that Saturday and Sunday. Clubs may not apply for a shoot on respective zone shoot weekend. Any club shooting against home zone will be asked to cancel or risk having scores not registered.

(d) Meetings should be held at zone shoot to elect a zone delegate and alternate delegate. Also, the next year's site will be chosen if applicable. The delegate and alternate will be on the advisory committee to the; PSSA Executive Committee. The meeting is open to all shooters, but voting is limited to attending club delegates.

(e) The PSSA will supply all resident Champion, Class and Category champions. Added money and open trophies are optional and decided by host club.

(f) Zone competitions at Pa State shoot. The four zone 16 yd champions shoot for Champion of Champions in Pa singles championship. Winner to receive hat and pin.

(g) The top 10 shooters at each zone shoot compete at Pa State Shoot singles Championships with the 5 best scores counting toward Zone Team score. Winning Zone teams members receive hat and pin. If more than 10 shooters are eligible due to ties, shooters with highest AT A average are placed on team. Zone delegates will post 10 top shooters at state shoot prior to start of event.
