EVOLUTION OF THE ATA LOGO

My wife's sister showed me an old can (looks to be from the teens or twenties). When I saw the can it took my breath away. I couldn't believe my eyes. The one pound can was made to hold Grand Union Baking Powder produced and canned by the Grand Union Tea Company of New York. Did the ATA pilfer their logo or did the Baking Soda company pilfer the ATA logo? As you can see their logo has a logo protection patent. The similarities are stunning. There is absolutely no doubt that there is an association between the two logos. Needless to say, I talked her out of the can and now it is in my collection of trapshooting memorabilia.
