ATA HALL OF FAME INDCUTEE FOR 1999Charles Newcomb will become the 8th Pennsylvania Trapshooting Hall of Fame inductee to be enshrined into the ATA Hall of Fame. The induction will take place next August at the 100th Grand American. Newcomb won over 1000 trapshooting titles in the early part of the century. Started career in 1901 and became one of the most prominent clay target shooters in the United States --- Won the Clay Target Championship in Chicago in 1915 --- One of the founders of the Quaker City Gun Club --- Won 2 State Singles titles and 2 State Doubles Championship's --- In 1916, he was part of the worlds record squad which broke 497x500 at Maplewood, NH --- Winner of 2 Westy Hogan's Singles Championship's --- Led state shooters in singles averages 6 times. |

PENNSYLVANIA HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE FOR 1999Ken Darroch will be inducted into the Pennsylvania Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 1999 --- Winner of 11 major Pennsylvania State Championships --- Won Pennsylvania State Singles Championship twice, 1991 & 1994 --- Won Pennsylvania HAA in 1993,1994 and 1995 (only Little & Crothers won three years in a row) --- Won Pennsylvania HOA Championship three years in a row, 1993, 1994 & 1995 (only Galligher & Crothers have won three in a row with Crothers winning six straight once and three straight once) and again in 1997 and 1998 --- Co-Pennsylvania Trapshooter of the Year in 1994 --- Pennsylvania State Doubles Champion, 1994 --- Led state in singles, handicap and doubles averages in 1994 and again in 1995 (only Little (5), Dissinger (2), Beaver (2) & Crothers (3) have led state in all three disciplines) --- Second place in GAH C/C race in 1994 --- Won four trophies at 1994 Grand American --- ATA All American in 1995, 1997, 1998 and 1999 --- Selected to 8 All State Teams, including one as a junior in 1977(captain in 1995, 1996, 1999 & co-captain in 1998). |
